PARIS TO LIVE ETERNEL MICHA A SENSORIAL AWAKENING

The Grand Palais Immersif's stunning new exhibition envelopes us in the world of Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), alive with colour and sinuous lines in a lush and magical garden. The Czechoslovakian artist and Art Nouveau genius has inspired generations of artists in every genre, from cinema to graphic novels. Mucha’s famous drawings and posters (including for Sarah Bernhardt) highlight the beauty of nature and feminine grace in signature arabesques that are as beautiful as stained glass. This interactive sensory experience also presents another aspect of Mucha's work via 20 huge paintings devoted to the history of the Slavic people. Monumental high-definition projections combined with an original musical and olfac tory environment – scented with the fragrances of his studio and favourite flowers – highlight his unique artistic vision with intoxicating modernity. Curator Tomoko Sato shares his thoughts on three emblematic works. « Éternel Mucha » Until November 5. Grand Palais 110, rue de Lyon, Paris 12e. Bastille
