Luxury House, LOUIS VUITTON This hidden gem of French luxury is one of the best-kept secrets of the Paris region. Tucked away in a verdant garden 5 mi/8 km from the Gare Saint-Lazare, an Art Nouveau family home is flanked by an Ei†el Tower-era steel-and-glass building, which houses Louis Vuitton’s most prestigious workshops. Some 300 craftspeople still work here to produce handmade trunks, exotic leather goods and special orders, in line with a tradition dear to Louis Vuitton himself, who lived in the house until 1892.
