The story

This crystal vase made by Michel Steiner, a company based on the Ré Island in the Southwest of France, has a typical art deco style recognizable by its singular shape and the marble-like finish. This type of vase was usually designed to hold a single flower and was used in the early 20th century to bring color and a good smell in Parisian cars and apartments. After the World War II, you would have found advertising made by European car companies such as Volkswagen selling crystal single-flower holders with the motto “Flowers will always brighten up your car”.
